Every day you open your eyes is a new opportunity to move toward being the best version of yourself. You do NOT have to give into society's standards or title. You make YOUR name for yourself. You get to write YOUR story.
We invest in so many things that add nothing of value to us. Have you taken the time, money, and effort to truly invest in YOURSELF? 🤔 Namaste ❤
YES we are disABLED but we are still very much ABLE. This blog is created to uplift people who need inspiration with or without disabilities showing them how to live a normal life in a disABLED body. If you know anyone who is disabled tell them to follow us. Dreams do come true. I currently work from home for Tyra Banks and I am enrolled in the Steve Harvey Success Institute. Trinity is 7 and attends regular public school and is active in all youth activities and we are disABLED

Life is a Big Super Bowl
Did you actually watch the super bowl did you see how the Atlanta Falcons dominated the game all the way until the third quarter they held the New England Patriots to only three points for almost the entire game and then all of a sudden something happen to the new England patriots. They got a strength within them that could not be stopped not only did they come back and score 28 or more unanswered points but they went in to The first overtime ever in Super Bowl history and won the game with a touchdown.
As I sit back and remember how I was in here shouting behind the game I realize after watching a sermon by One of the pastors from Central Church here in Las Vegas that you can either be three types of people in your own game of life. You can be the person that watches the game from afar and basically shouts when you're team is winning and screams when they are losing. You can be the person that actually goes to the game and gets the field the atmosphere and be surrounded by other people that have your same interest in heart or you can be the person that is actually making the plays in the game.
If you're a person that is disABLED you are always the person that is actually in your own game of life making the plays. You really cannot sit back and watch your game of life from afar you can't just come to the game and be a bystander you have to actually be the person making the plays scoring the touchdowns and at some point even creating penalties.
In order to create the life you want you cannot be scared to play the game. When you are living with a disability you have to learn how to fight all of the things that are trying to make you lose this game of life. Having a disability is not the end of the game it doesn't mean you have lost in life it just means you have to create please that will make sure you do nothing but win whatever it is you're trying to accomplish.
Every day I find myself telling Trinity that life isn't fair but we have to live it the best way we can. Every morning when we get up I have to prepare the game for the day I have to make sure she has everything she needs so that she can create plays in her day that are going to result in touchdowns and her winning her game for the day.
Her sister Jermany is always on the opposing team she is always given us reasons why she does not want to help her why she can't help and why we should have Trinity do this on her own and I have to prepare Jermany just like I prepare Trinity. I have to let her know you are on the same team and if you lose she loses and if she loses you lose so therefore you both have to play the game of life together. When you go to school you have to make sure you are there to help her when you can you can not assume that other people on the team will look out for the quarterback when it is your job to protect the quarterback.
I am learning that life is all about playing the game the correct way. some people may look at it and think you're losing because you're disABLED but if you put yourself in a position to win play by play at the end of the day you have won the day and you will be able to go onto the next day with a little more strength and a lot more knowledge as to how to make your day great.
I was watching live with Kelly this morning and they had the guy online who basically made the biggest play of the season for the new England patriots and when they asked him what would you tell any kids out there who has the dream of playing in the Super Bowl and winning he said something to this sort.
Dream big work hard at whatever your talent is don't ever quit ignore the noise around you always fight for what you want to achieve and one day you will be winning the Super Bowl in your life.
God created us disABLE for a reason but he still made us able to do whatever it is we want to do.
Don't ever quit on your big game it is called life. you are put here to dominate every play which will ultimately make you win your big game. You may not be win a Super Bowl trophy but you will win a trophy call achievements in life and no one will be able to take that away from you.

disABLE divas move to Vegas
I have learned that life is what you make it and regardless to what disability you have you cannot ever let it stop you from being who you really want to be.
On the first day we got here as soon as we got in the car and got something to eat I gave Trinity her food while she was eating it she waste some of it and the look on her face was the look of defeat. Normally her grandmother would have made sure everything was set up perfect but I knew at that moment it was on me.
I reassured her that it was going to be OK and that we was going to have to figure out a way to adjust to this new life starting at this very moment.
When we got to our new home we had 16 flights of steps we had to climb. We immediately got on our knees and use them as feet to get up to the top of the stairs. When we got to our new bathroom we saw we had a deep Jacuzzi we had to climb in or we could take a shower in the walk-in shower so we decided to take a shower individually on our knees.
When it was time to go to bed we all get in one bed recited our prayers out loud and quickly fell asleep. Nothing about the first day living here was normal.
At that moment I really started to question did I make the right decision. But God reassured me everything is going to be alright I have prepared this place for you.
The next day my sister had to go to work so it was all on me to make sure they ate and enjoyed the day. Both of the girls were kind of sad but they were happy at the same time.
I was questioning everything did I make the right move why did I do this how are we really going to adjust are they going to like their school will they be able to make new friends I mean everything was going through my mind. And God he immediately told me I got your back just let me show you how this is going to work.
You will adjust they will adjust and everything is going to work out in your favor. I immediately started doing what I knew I had to do which was making sure our foundation for finances and food was in place.
We learned in that first week that nothing is impossible without God. We came to Las Vegas 11 days before Christmas with really no money except the church donations that they gave us and really Trinity had no every day clothes but within a week God had use their father my mother and my sister to provide all of that for them.
When it was time for them to start school on January 3rd. Trinity was very nervous so she prayed and asked God to give her an extra day to get her mind together and not only did he give her an extra day he gave her two extra days instead of starting that Tuesday she and her sister did not start school until that Thursday.
When I say this was the most nervous day I had ever been in my life it really truly was I was terrified she wouldn't be able to make friends the kids will not be able to understand her disability. I was terrified she was not going to be able to go to the bathroom or get help in the lunch room. But God had already worked it out. The school had everything in place to make sure she would be just as happy as any other child there.
I learned that life at the moment was going to be absolutely wonderful. Since moving here we have found a new appreciation for each other. Jermany really truly is the sister that loves to hate her little sister but will do anything for her. She pushes Trinity to be more independent while at the same time showing and helping her learn how to be the best version of herself.
We have experienced Christmas New Year's day a new first day of school and a new way of living since getting here. Hasn't been easy no but is it easy now that we have adjusted yes.
The first time all three of us was separated was the Wednesday before Christmas when we went to Central church for our real first Christmas service in Las Vegas with live animals. Trinity went to her own service Jermany went to her own service and my sister and I we went to our own service. I was kind of scared to let them go but at that moment God was telling me you have to let them grow up at their own time.
I knew then this is the best thing I could ever do. Having a disability is not the worst thing in the world its actually the best thing you could have. Learning how to adjust in different environments is one of the most important thing you will learn as you live with a disability.
Vegas life is what you make it the adjustments, whether you have a disability or not is something anyone will have to do if they want to live a good life out here. we have learned that every 5 to 10 people we see are really just like us. Every weekend when we go out I get around on a scooter with Trinity sitting at my feet and Jermany walking by my side. We see people young and old riding on scooters and we get stopped constantly asking how can they get one.
This moving experience has definitely made us grow up and adjust. But it has also shown us that a disability is nothing but something that helps you to create a new way to live a accommodating life.
I thank God for giving me the strength to move myself with a disability from what I am used to to a place with a child with a disability and one with a artistic ability to live how we should. Now not only can Jermany grow as a person but Trinity can grow as a person and I can grow as a person.
There are definitely no limits except the ones you create no matter if you have a disability or not we are disabled but we are still able to do any and everything we want to do.
Be blessed
